All rides. Routes with this trail. Jbear Aug 7, at Just finished up riding this trail and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I will say I am not an avid mountain biker, but I am in decent shape and bike often.
I was, however, unprepared for the constant climbing at this trail. The views at the top are amazing, and there are some good views along the way as well, but the rocky trail leading to those views was pretty tedious, and the descent was brutal. Just constant rocks the whole way down. No packed dirt, no switchbacks or berms, and definitely no jumps. If you are looking to ride in Santa Fe, I would recommend finding a different trail to ride, and save this one for a hike with family or friends.
